Steps

  • Log in to cPanel
  • Go to MySQL Databases
  • Enter a database name and click Create Database
  • Under MySQL Users create a new username and password
  • Under Add User To Database select your user and database
  • On the permissions page check All Privileges and click Make Changes

    • Your Connection Details

    • Host: localhost
    • Database: cpanelusername_yourdbname
    • Username: cpanelusername_yourusername
    • Password: the password you set
    Note: cPanel automatically prefixes your cPanel username to database and user names.

    Managing with phpMyAdmin

    Go to cPanel -> phpMyAdmin to browse, edit and import your databases.
